Post 2: How has colonialism impacted Rukmani and her family, India and the foreigners in India like Kenny?
Just like the last post, select two quotes that show the impact colonialism had on India in the SECOND SECTION WHERE RUKMANI HAS CHILDREN. Read between the lines. You must:
Think about how rural India was BEFORE the British entered. There is no war in this book and the setting of this book is after the British came in. Since India is so big, not all areas were impacted immediately but as the British began to move into their areas.
Grammatically incorrect and misspelled posts will not be read! Due 12/27 by midnight. That means midnight ON the 27th, not midnight on the 26th.
- identify the context of the quote
- what impact it has- positive or negative
- how you know it has that impact through the text, not opinion
- don't forget the who, what, where, when and why
- cite
